    Care robots are becoming more and more important. There are various doors and doorways in homes, but it is difficult for a robot to move through them. Therefore, as a preliminary step in developing an autonomous mobile robot that can open and close any door, this paper aims to identify doorknobs and handles in images using machine learning. Houses have various types of doors and doorknobs. In this study, they are classified into 6 patterns. We use a Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) to classify them from images. We trained six typical doorknob patterns, 800 images were prepared for each pattern. As the result, the recognition accuracy improved to 79.9% compared to a conventional method. In future, in order for a robot to open and close any door, it will be necessary to detect 3D position of door.

    In recent years, Japan's declining birthrate and aging population have made a decrease in the working population a problem. Further decline in the working population is expected in the future due to the declining birthrate and aging population. As a solution to such labor shortages, there is a growing interest in the use of autonomous mobile robots. In order to actually utilize autonomous mobile robots, awareness of the surroundings is an important issue in running the robot. Stereo cameras are often used to acquire information about the surroundings. However, it is difficult for a stereo camera to obtain information on the surroundings in a single shot due to the angle of view. Therefore, we focused on an obstacle detection method using a fisheye camera, which has the advantage of acquiring information on all 360 locations around the obstacle at a time. In this study, we propose a new obstacle position detection method using three fisheye cameras.

    In recent years, automated guided vehicles (AGVs) have been widely used in factories and hospitals. Robots are expected to become popular in general households for reasons such as nursing care, and it is necessary for it to consist of simple equipment with small purchase cost. In this study, we developed a new method of self-position estimation using frequency-modulated LEDs and photodiodes. Compared with conventional methods, the new method can cope with fluctuations in LED illumination, and the calculation method has been further modified. In the experiment, the actual position and the calculated position were compared, and it was found that the error was as small as 1.1 cm, indicating that the self-position estimation was feasible.

    In recent years, demand for autonomous mobile robots has been increasing worldwide. Obstacle detection is essential for the movement of robots. Therefore, we conducted a study aiming to measure 360° of the surroundings at a time using cameras. We succeeded in measuring the distance to an obstacle from the captured image using a method in which omnidirectional cameras were placed facing each other.

    It is easy to measure the diameter of a stainless steel rod by irradiating a laser beam onto it. However, when a laser beam is irradiated onto a stainless steel rod whose surface is coated with oil, it becomes difficult to measure the diameter of the stainless steel circular rod due to the thickness of the oil. To reduce this error, a previous study measured using only the reflected light distribution. To solve the problems found in the previous study and to improve the accuracy, this study proposes a new method with the addition of transmitted light distribution.

    In recent years, the declining working population due to the declining birthrate and aging population has become a problem in Japan. Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs) that can be used in factories and warehouses are attracting attention as a solution to this problem. A line-trace type automatic guided vehicle (AGV) is used as one of the methods of automatic guided vehicle (AGV). However, this method has the disadvantage that it takes time to introduce and it is not easy to change the route. In addition, the method using a stereo camera is mainly used for automatic transport robots using image processing such as factories. However, the stereo camera has a problem that the shooting range is narrow. Against this background, we have developed a new approach to automated transport by using a fisheye camera to recognize AR markers and lanes. The use of a fisheye camera expands the recognition range, the use of lanes already used in factories reduces the time and effort required for introduction, and the recognition of AR markers makes it easy to change routes. In this research, we verified the measurement accuracy of AR markers and lanes, made it real-time, implemented it on a robot, and verified the control accuracy of the robot.

    The authors propose a hybrid drone with coaxial reversing double rotor that consists of a large coaxial reversing double rotor and a general drone for increasing its payload.     The purpose of this paper is to identify doorknobs and handles in images using machine learning as a preliminary step to the development of an autonomous mobile robot that can open and close arbitrary doors. We used Random Forest as one of the machine learning. This model uses majority voting or averaging to reduce overfitting, which is a problem with many decision tree machine learning techniques.

    Currently, automations of factories are progressing, and the demand for introduction of automatic transfer robots is increasing. However, there are many factories that cannot introduce automation of factories because of cost and time.     In this study, we developed a new approach for obstacle

    In this study, we
    constructed a simple system by using a line laser and a
    camera mounted on an automatic moving cart, and

    1.室内ロボットのための位置検出と障害物検出

    1.室内ロボットのための位置検出と障害物検出の実用化
    LED照明を利用した室内位置検出法を開発した。また、全方位カメラを用いた障害物検出法を開発した。

    2.レーザー強度パターン生成
    計算機ホログラムの最適化について研究を進めてきた.これまでの研究成果とノウハウを用いて,計算機ホログラムを用いたレーザー強度パターン生成を実用化したい.
