    本研究は、分裂酵母のフェロモン認識機構における「厳密さ」と「柔軟さ」の二面性を理解し、環境適応のメカニズムを解明することを目指す。具体的には、フェロモンとその受容体の認識特異性の変化が生殖隔離や種分化にどのように寄与するかを、時空間すけーるで詳細に計測し解析する。また自然界から実際に単離した野生酵母株の調査と組み合わせることで、酵母の生命力を把握し、自然界での進化の理解を深める。

    酵母ライブラリの拡充を目的に、温度や培地条件を最適化し、未単離の酵母種をスクリーニングする。複数のアルコール耐性に加え、様々な増殖阻害物質への耐性を評価し、系統樹解析を通じてゲノム情報と表現型を関連付ける。200株の炭素源資化能を解析し、チーム内でデータを共有する。様々な酵母種に適用可能な形質転換法を検討し、MiSeqなどによる部分的ゲノム解読と外来遺伝子の挿入を指標とした評価に基づき、その有効性を検証する。
