This paper presents an efficient multi-channel utilization method to flexibly increase the network capacity of the wireless backbone network (WBN). WBN is a part of wireless mesh network (WMN) and consists a multi-hop network of access points (APs). Existing WMN limits the number of channels an AP utilize simultaneously due to the hardware equipment (the number of wireless interfaces) even if there are many vacant channels. This paper proposes an architecture that allows APs to handle the unlimited number of channels potentially. Also, we present the channel utilization method that simultaneously and effectively control traffic while concerning with radio coverage.
